Former Calhoun deputy pleads guilty to drunk driving charge

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A former Calhoun County deputy has pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge.

David Bowers pleaded guilty to Operating While Visibly Impaired on Thursday, which was when his trial was set to begin.

Bowers was arrested in December when he was found unresponsive behind the wheel of a personal vehicle at the intersection of 4 Mile Road and “H” Drive South in Leroy Township.

He will be sentenced at a later date.
