ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich -  Chilling 911 calls were released Wednesday after a woman was attacked with acid in Allegan County last month.

It was Sheryl Keech's neighbor who called police after he found the 54-year-old severely wounded. Keech's boyfriend, Greg Marsman, was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before the charges against him can move forward in the case.

"I have my neighbor here and she had acid poured all over her" said Carl Mears, Keech's neighbor.

Carl Mears lives across the street from Keech.  Last month, he was jolted out of bed by Keech banging at his door around two in the morning.

Dispatch: "Okay and you said she had acid poured on her?"

Mears: "Yes, what can I do for it?"

Dispatch: "Okay, I am going to help you with that. Did somebody do it to her or was it accidental?"

Mears: "Her boyfriend did it."

Dispatch: "Do you know the suspect's name?"

Mears: "Greg."

It was Keech's boyfriend at the time, 53-year-old Gregory Alan Marsman. He is currently facing charges of torture, home invasion and domestic violence.

There was damage throughout the home when police arrived, including shattered glass and notes scattered throughout. Those notes were immediately turned over to police. Keech is still recovering in the hospital, showing improvement day by day. After the attack, her family feared she may never see again.

Dispatch: "Right now is she completely alert?"

Mears: "She's standing right here and her face is turning colors."

Dispatch: "Is she having difficulty breathing?"

Mears: "She has it in her throat and everything. It was bad. It was hurting my nose just smelling it."

Marsman is still behind bars, set to undergo a psychological exam before the case against him moves forward.

Keech's family needs help paying for medical bills and repairing the home. A fundraiser is planned April 23 at BAM! Entertainment Center in Holland. Half of the proceeds from bowling and laser and all proceeds from a raffle and auction will go to help with her medical bills and to repair her home. You can also donate on Keech's Go Fund Me page.
