GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — To celebrate its 125th birthday, John Ball Zoo is hosting a series of 125 animal parties.
The zoo announced Wednesday that it will hold a party celebrating an animal every day from April 17 to Aug. 19.
According to a release, community members can sponsor the animal parties for $125. Sponsors will be acknowledged on a sign in the zoo, in the ZooNews and on the zoo’s Facebook page.
The zoo is asking visitors to share their stories and photos on social media using the hashtags #jbzoo and #jbz125.
John Ball Zoo is currently open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Starting May 7, weekend hours will extend from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
