GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A Belmont teen who pleaded guilty to making threats against Rockford schools was sentenced to probation Thursday.

Jagar Schwartz was sentenced to five years of probation, which is the most probation he could receive.

Schwartz was charged in September 2015 for making false threats of terrorism.  Schwartz had made the threats on social media saying he would "shoot everybody up."

Schwartz has been in jail since September.  As part of the plea deal, Schwartz was sentenced to 270 days in jail, but has already served 169. He has also been charged in connection to a break-in at Grand Rapids E-Liquid on Northland Drive and vandalism at the Plainfield Township Charter offices.

Schwartz expressed regret for what he did and apologized.  He also told the court that he will finish school and get a job when he gets out of jail.  If Schwartz violates his probation, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
