WEST MICHIGAN- More winter weather continues as everyone arrives back in Michigan from spring break.  If you’ve been gone for a few days, Mother Nature is sure to catch you up with a brief period of cold and snow this weekend.

RPM 1 (10)

Light snow develops and moves in from the northwest by late morning Friday.  This will stick around for several hours and have a better opportunity to accumulate than the last system gave us.

RPM 2 (9)

By tomorrow evening, we’ll see a drier period in West Michigan, but more moderate snow will be on the eastern side of the state by the evening.

Panel2A (9)

If you’re headed to the eastern side of the state for Tigers’ Opening Day, you should expect a very cold day with scattered snow showers developing by the late innings.

RPM 3 (7)

If you’re traveling across the state by the nighttime, expect travel conditions to be impacted by some visibility issues and slick roads as this storm hangs around and temperatures fall into the 20s overnight.

Garry Snow Totals (10)

Storm totals will be relatively light and some isolated higher amounts are possible in our northeastern areas yet again.

3DayForecast_Full_Tomorrow (13)

The weekend looks relatively chilly as well.  Light snow showers possible the first half of the day Saturday may have some impact on the Whitecaps home opener, but more than likely it will be dry and chilly as the game doesn’t begin until 4.
