OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. – The Oceana County Sheriff is hoping that a police sketch will help in finding the suspects who beat a woman in February.

The incident happened on February 19 outside the victim’s home in the 3800 block of East Baker Road in Ferry Township.  The assault happened in the early evening and it was dark at the time.

Investigators say that the victim was getting out of her car when she was hit in the head.  While she was on the ground, the suspects used a sharp object of some kind to cut the victim’s face, arm, pants and coat.  They say the victim was also punched several times.

A Michigan State Police sketch artist interviewed the victim and came up with the attached sketch.  It was dark and the victim was not able to guess an age, height or weight of the suspects.  The one suspect she was able to describe appears to be a young woman with wavy, dark hair and hazel eyes.  There is no description of the second suspect.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the assault should call the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office at (231) 873-2121.
