KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A Las Vegas man was arrested in Kalamazoo Thursday for distributing methamphetamine and storing it in area hotel rooms.

The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) made the arrest after watching the 27-year-old suspect in the 3700 block of Easy Street in Kalamazoo.

Investigators say that after seeing the man make a hand-to-hand transaction, they made contact with the suspect.  Through questioning, they found two hotel rooms belonging to the man and found over 1,000 personal hits of meth (about seven ounces) and over $13,000 in cash.

The man is currently being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail.  Charges are expected from the prosecutor’s office of Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth and Delivery of Meth.  His name will be released after his arraignment.
