Grand Rapids Gus Macker is hosting a tournament in June, and is in need of volunteers.
The tournament will take place June 3-5 at Kenowa Hills High School. All proceeds from the tournament will go to Special Olympics Michigan Area 11 in Kent and Barry County.
Volunteers are needed for June 2 for evening set up and all day for June 3-5. Volunteers are needed to set up, help with registration, sell food and drink, keep score, referee, and tear down.
You can register to volunteer by emailing your name, phone number, email address, and the dates you'd like to volunteer to AREA11@SOMI.ORG. The deadline for volunteer registration is May 18.
If you don't want to volunteer, but want to participate in the tournament, there are still spots open for team registry.
Registration costs $140 per team. Three to four people can be on a team.
The deadline for team registration closes May 16.
