DETROIT, Mich. – Michigan State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 7-year-old girl who is believed to be in the company of a registered sex offender.
Sapphire Palmer
Sapphire Palmer is white, four feet tall and weighing about 55 pounds and has red hair and green eyes. Police say her mother, Amanda Hayward, is suffering from an apparent mental episode and is paranoid and delusional and may be armed with a 9-mm Hi Point Semi-Automatic handgun.
Hayward and Palmer are believed to be with Douglas Steven Stanko, 64. He is a registered sex offender.
They were last seen in the Brighton area. They are believed to be in a 2001 red Ford Escape, license 2HVA18.
