Grandville teen charged with making threat to ‘blow up’ school

GRANDVILLE, Mich. – A Grandville teen who told police that she “hates that school” was charged late last month with threatening to blow up Grandville High School.

Kyleigh Breanna Miles was released on a $30,000 bond on April 29, according to court documents.  She was arrested on April 28 and charged with one count of making a False Report or Threat of Bomb/Harmful Device.

According to court documents, the school contact police on April 28 after receiving word of a social media post by Miles that said “I’m ****ing mad. I’m gonna blow Grandville up”. (sic)

Police interviewed Miles and she admitted to posting the message and that she was referring to Grandville High School.  Police say in the probable cause affadavit that she said she did it because “she was being bullied and felt like no one was doing anything about it.”   Miles also allegedly told police that she had posted another similar message on April 19.
