BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The city of Battle Creek has lifted its latest Boil Water Advisory.

The advisory was issued at 4:32 p.m. Friday for Newark Avenue as well as Oakhill Drive between Oak and Willow streets so that improvements and repairs could be made.

The advisory was canceled Sunday morning.

Battle Creek issues a Boil Water Advisory as a safeguard whenever water pressure is reduced to allow for work to be done on a water main, creating the potential for bacteria to enter the system. The city thereby advises residents not to drink the water without first bringing it to a boil for one minute and letting it cool before using.
