If they catch this guy (unlikely, in GR) he will face a stiff $500 penalty in addition to his sentence because shooting season in GR doesn’t open until June 1. So for those of you keeping score, this goes on your spring scoresheet, not your summer scoresheet, despite the warm weather. It is looking to be a record summer too, now that all the ex-Detroiters have settled in and are organizing themselves while the GRPD seems to remain at a loss as to how to deal with it. I’m so glad I moved out of the city when I did! I don’t have as nice a house and I have to drive a little more, but I don’t have to worry about getting assaulted or killed while I go out to dinner or sit on my front porch.

Don’t blame the police, blame the mayor and city manager. We have to treat the criminals with kid gloves and not hurt their feelings! It’s all about P.R.. Can we get a Chief with a backbone please?
