GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A former teacher from the Howell Public School District  was indicted on Friday on charges of child pornography possession.

Duane William Millar, 59, of East Lansing appeared in Grand Rapids federal court on a two-count indictment of possessing child pornography on multiple computers and media storage devices.

Soon after the allegations came to light, Millar resigned from his position as an educator at Howell Public Schools.

The charges are a result of an investigation by the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (MSP ICAC) and Homeland Security Investigations.

If convicted, Millar faces up to twenty years in federal prison on each count.
