KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — The man who allegedly hit a group of bicyclists with a pick-up truck Tuesday evening has been identified by sources close to the investigation as Charles Edward Pickett.
Five people were killed and four others were injured in the crash, which happened at about 6:36 p.m. in the 5500 block of N. Westnedge Avenue in Cooper Township. The driver was arrested near the crash scene.
A release from the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office says the suspect is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
