West Michigan vigils scheduled for Orlando victims

WEST MICHIGAN – Vigils for the victims of Sunday morning’s mass shooting in Orlando, Florida have been scheduled in West Michigan.

50 people were killed and 53 wounded in the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando at about 2:00am.  The gunman was killed by police in a shootout.

In Battle Creek, St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold a candlelight vigil at 8:00pm.  The church is located at 16 E. Van Buren Street.

In Grand Rapids, The Apartment Lounge will be holding a candlelight vigil at 9:30pm with a moment of silence at 10:00pm.  The club is located at 33 Sheldon Avenue NE.
