Funeral arrangements posted for Kalamazoo bicycling victims

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Funerals and remembrances have been scheduled for the victims of last week’s bicycle crash in Kalamazoo.

Five people were killed June 7th when a pickup truck crashed into a group of riders on North Westnedge Avenue.

Tony Nelson was active at St. Thomas More Student Parish and was an avid bicyclist.  Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday at St. Thomas More Student Parish, 421 Monroe St.

Larry Paulik will also be remembered at St. Thomas More Student Parish on Wednesday at 11:00am.  His obituary says that he getting a beer and burrito at Bell’s with Tony after bike rides.

Family will hold a celebration of the life of Melissa Fevig Hughes at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14th at Centerpoint Church, 2345 North 10th St. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 to 1:00pm on Tuesday and immediately following the service.

Debra Bradley’s family is greeting friends Monday, June 13 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home Richland Chapel at 9170 East D Avenue.  The Parish Rosary will be recited at 8:00pm.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14 at 11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church on East D Avenue in Augusta, with a time of fellowship and luncheon right afterwards.

A celebration of Suzanne Sippel’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Kellogg Biological Station, 3700 E. Gull Lake Drive in Hickory Corners, MI 49060, officiated by Rev. Julie Kline.  She worked for Michigan State University’s Kellogg Biological Station since 1995.
