EAST LANSING, Mich -- The Holton softball team lost to Indian River Inland Lakes 2-0 Friday in a division 4 state semifinal at Michigan State University.
Bulldogs starting pitcher Cloe Mallory hit a 2-run homer at the plate in the bottom of the first and struck out 13 Red Devils while in the circle.
Each team had only two hits, Morgan Murat had both Holton hits, Mikaela Baker pitched a complete game striking out two.
The Red Devils finish the year 29-13.
