It's been over a month since Gabrielle Shipley won the division two national championship, but it's not a moment she is going to forget anytime soon.

"It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. Coming down eighteen I had no idea where I was standing" Gabrielle Shipley said, "I really wasn't even nervous on my last hole of my college career I was more nervous on the first hole which I would rather have that then just be focused and how I was."

Now she joins the field at the Tullymore Classic this week playing as an amateur on a sponsors exemption and believe it not she says she likes the way she is swinging now more than when she won the national championship.

"Honestly I didn't like my swing when I won nationals, I thought it was way too steep but it worked and I was confident and it was repeatable so I just worked with it" Shipley added, "I've worked on some things since then and I'm definitely liking my swing a lot more now so I'm hoping that the hard work I've put in and the confidence will definitely help me out this week too."

Shipley has played in a Symetra tour event before, two years ago at the Firekeepers Casino and Hotel Championship in Battle Creek and she will again play in that event in three weeks before turning pro and heading to qualifying school in August.  In the mean time she is hoping to contend this week at Tullymore.

"I want to finish top ten in the tournament. It's a high expectation since I haven't turned professional yet but Brooke Henderson wasn't a professional and she won tournaments on last year on the LPGA" Shipley said, "I know that high expectations is a good thing and high goals because it always keeps you working towards that and I don't want just settle for just making the cut even though it's my first one since graduating."

Shipley tees off at 8:03 A.M. Friday in the three round event that will have a cut after 36 holes.
