PORTAGE, Mich. — Crews are investigating what caused a house to catch fire early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to the home in the 6400 block of Evergreen St. around 12:20am. When they got there, they were greeted by heavy fire and smoke.
Crews were able to put the fire out and no one was hurt.
But the cause of the fire is still unknown at this point.
