GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police have issued a sketch of a man wanted for a rape in Grand Rapids earlier this month.
Police say the incident happened in a grassy area north of the Denny’s restaurant on Plainfield Avenue on July 7 between 1:00am and 2:00am.
The sketch is of a white man named Matt. He is described as being 35-40 years old, 5’10” to 6’0″ tall, 200-250lbs. with a “big belly”. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a light-colored t-shirt, shorts and a baseball cap. Police say that the suspect plays softball on a local league and was seen at Logan’s Alley on Michigan Street NE before going to the Denny’s.
Police say he drives a newer model Ford Mustang or similar sporty vehicle, that is silver in color.
