BOYNE CITY, Mich. (AP) — It’s not enough money to quit their jobs. But 23 co-workers at a northern Michigan utility can have a more comfortable summer.

They matched five numbers in the June 15 Powerball game and each will get roughly $44,000. They missed the $153 million jackpot by one number.

The Michigan Lottery says they work at Great Lakes Energy in Boyne City. They’ve had a lottery club for many years called the 23 Dreams Club. Al Aown says he checked the club’s tickets after hearing a Boyne City party store had sold a winner.

He says he hid the winning ticket in the pocket of an old suit until he was ready to turn it in.
