Kinesio-Tape has become a common sight at many sporting events, but how is it better than any other sports wrap tape and bandages?
The Kinesio-Taping method is designed to affiliate the body's natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting movement.
It's a cotton-elastic tape that has four main functions: decrease pain, correct muscle function, reposition a subluxed joint, and improve circulation. It's used for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and can assist muscle actions, relax tight tissue, and even soften scar tissue.
Kinesio Tape has even been credited with reducing muscle fatigue and swelling, increasing circulation, and helping the body heal itself. Along with muscle injuries, this fabric can heal syndromes like patellar tracking disorders, plantar fasciitis, tendinitis, and even carpal tunnel syndrome.
Other common injuries Kinesio Tape can help heal include:
- Runner’s knee
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Hamstring and Quadriceps Pulls
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Calf Strains
- Ankle Sprains
