Craft Corner: DIY Foosball Table

Materials

  • Shoe box
  • Small dowels or skewer sticks
  • Utility knife
  • Ruler
  • Clothespins
  • Decorative paper
  • Spray paint
  • Clear tape
  • Pint pong balls
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pen or markers

Put the dowel end against the outside of the box. About 1/4 inch above the dowel put a mark for the hole, you want to make sure the clothespin can move without hitting the bottom of the box.

Mark the hole with the tip of the knife, then push the dowel through and mark the inside of the box.

mini-foosball-table-for-kids-04Once the dowel is in place, hot glue the clothespins on the dowel where you want the "players" to go. Before you do this though, you can customize the clothespins to look like players, or decorate them however you want.

For the final touch, cover the box with decorative paper. Then cut out holes at each end of the box so you have a goal where you can retrieve your ping pong ball.
