CLEVELAND — Michigan is set to have a big presence during next week’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia with the addition of three new speakers announced Thursday.

Flint Mayor Karen Weaver, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and former Gov. Jennifer Granholm will each address the convention next week, an official with the Clinton campaign confirmed to FOX 17.

The three speakers are in addition to one who’d already been announced. Henrietta Ivey, a Detroit resident, will talk about her fight to raise the minimum wage.

Comparatively, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette was the only speaker from Michigan to appear during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. In a brief speech on Monday, Schuette promised to fight for justice for Flint residents impacted by the water crisis.

The Democratic National Convention begins Monday, July 25.
