CHICAGO -- After a 10-3 season and a Citrus Bowl win in 2015, Michigan is a trendy pick to win the Big Ten and potentially challenge for a national championship in 2016, Jim Harbaugh's second season as head coach of his alma mater.

"We want our dreams to be big," he said on Monday at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago. "We want our goals to be lofty. We want to dream those dreams so much that people would laugh at us. If they're not laughing at us, then we haven't set high enough goals."

"This is the reason we all came together as a class," senior tight end Jake Butt said. "We had dreams of winning Big Ten championships and national championships and I think if we put in the work this year, we work hard, we prepare the way I know we're capable of, we can have a real special season."

"It's good people outside are recognizing the talent we have, but it doesn't mean anything if when the season comes we don't get wins," senior wide receiver Amara Darboh said.

"We want to prepare to be the best in the Big Ten and in the country," senior defensive back Jourdan Lewis said. "We're not chasing anybody. We're not worried about where anybody's at. We're not worried about what people are saying, any of the media distractions, because we have to go out there and perform and if we don't, you guys know what happens."

Michigan kicks off their season on September 3 in Ann Arbor against Hawaii.
