PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies in Calhoun County arrested a 44-year-old Battle Creek woman early Saturday morning after finding a meth lab in her car.

Deputies say they stopped her around 2:30am in the 1000 block of NE Capital Avenue in Pennfield Township for several traffic violations. They say when they approached the car they saw several meth making materials in plain sight.

Police then searched the car and found several components of a meth lab. The responding officer said he recognized the woman from other previous meth cases.

The woman, who has not yet been named, is awaiting charges from the county prosecutor.
