Arrest made in deadly downtown stabbing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police say they have a person in custody following a deadly stabbing Monday morning.

Officers got the call at around 3:30 a.m. at the Globe Apartments on Commerce Ave. SW of a stabbing.  When they arrived, they found a 41-year-old man with apparent stab wounds to the neck/throat.  The man died within several minutes.

Detectives discovered the stabbing was a result of a domestic dispute and officials say they have made an arrest. No other details on the suspect were released as of late Monday morning.

The incident remains under investigation.

    “The situation is being investigated as a suspicious death”. Suspicious? How many people stab themselves to death? It’d be more appropriate to call it a possible murder.
