Heartside Health Center, a community benefit ministry of Mercy Health, will open its doors to the neighborhood and community partners for a day of information, food and fun.
What: Heartside Health Center's Second Annual Back-to-School Bash
When: Saturday, August 13, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: 359 Division Ave. S, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Parking available at Diocese of Grand Rapids Parking Ramp, 360 Division Ave. S
Who: Community members and families are invited to attend to enjoy free food, educational opportunities and giveaways, all to prepare to head back to school.
The entire family is invited to enjoy live music and food, with activities and backpacks stuffed with goodies for the kids. Attendees can also register to win great prizes.
Background: Heartside Health Center has transformed itself into a Family Practice as of spring 2015. The Back-to-school Bash is a way to promote Heartside Health Center as a Family Practice to the neighborhood; connect better with the agencies that it partners with to care for our patients, and encourage and support the Heartside neighborhood in understanding the resources available to them and how they can access these resources.
In its first year in August 2015, the Back-to-School Bash saw nearly 1,000 children in attendance, a key indication that these resources are greatly needed by members of our community.
