ATLANTA, Georiga – 265,000 swivel dining and lounge chairs are being recalled because the base of the chair can break and cause a person to fall.

The Hampton Bay Fall River chairs were sold exclusively at Home Depot, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.  They were sold in either sets of two or as part of a patio set, which included a patio table.  The set of two sold for about $200 and the patio set sold for about $550.  They were sold between October 2012 and January 2015.

The chairs are made of steel with a round swivel base and arm rests. They have either a red or green cushion, or have a custom slipcover with white line fabric over the cushions.

The company, Brown Jordan Services, has received 410 reports of the chairs breaking, resulting in 16 injuries.  The injuries were mainly bruises and cuts from falls.

If you have the chair, you should contact the company at 855-899-2127 from 8:00am to 5:00pm weekdays or online at www.bjsoutdoor.com .
