KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A teen who ran away after being released from the hospital has been found safe out of state.
Michael Thornton jumped from a moving vehicle Tuesday night after being released from the hospital after a suicide attempt. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says that Thornton contacted police Wednesday night in Missouri that he was safe.
The department did not have any further details on when Thornton would be returning to Michigan.
