We're pretty certain 2 year-old Sachi, a chihuahua mix, didn't get the memo that she is a dog. While visiting FOX 17 Morning Mix, she put herself into a meditative state while she casually got her belly and head rubbed. She is one of the many who are ready for their forever homes at the Humane Society of West Michigan.
On Saturday, Aug. 13, Bissell Pet Foundation is paying all adoption fees at HSWM and Van Buren County Animal Control. Families will also receive an AdoptBox full of goodies. Families who adopt are responsible for licensing fees. The event runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at HSWM and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Van Buren County Animal Control. Licensing fees run between $7 and $11.
