Berrien County truck stop robbed, suspect gets away with cash

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Bertrand Township truck stop early Sunday morning.

According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, at 12:06 a.m. Sunday, JD’s Truck Stop at 1655 Mayflower Road was robbed by what is believed to be a white male or light skinned Hispanic male.

The suspect shown in the two accompanying surveillance pictures is believed to be approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build and a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. He was wearing a red shirt believed to be a brand called “Famous Stars & Straps” along with red pants and a red and white hat.

The suspect was armed with a pistol and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
