3 injured in reported stabbing/house fire in Newaygo County

LINCOLN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Three people are recovering from non life-threatening knife wounds following a reported stabbing and house fire that happened at the same home in Newaygo County late Wednesday night.

According to the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Department, it all started unfolding at around 11:00 p.m. at a home on N. Ramona Park in Lincoln Township. Police were called to that location for a reported stabbing and house fire.  When units arrived at the scene, they confirmed the home was on fire, and located three people suffering from knife wounds: A 20-year-old man from Grant, a 27-year-old man from White Cloud, and a 19-year-old woman from White Cloud.

All three individuals were taken to area hospitals.  They are expected to survive.

Local fire departments were able to extinguish the house fire.

Police believe everyone involved has been accounted for, but no arrests have been made in connection to the incident at this time.  This is still an active investigation.
