KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The 14-year-old girl injured in the Kalamazoo mass shooting is out of surgery.
Abigail Kopf’s family posted on her recovery Facebook page, saying that her skin was reacting to self-dissolving stitches from a previous surgery. Her family says the skin problem was minor.
The previous June surgery was to remove a plate from her skull because of infection.
Abbie and Tiana Carruthers survived the February shooting rampage. Six others were killed.
