UPDATE: Power was restored in most locations just before 3:00pm.
Several thousand people on the northeast side of Grand Rapids and Comstock Park and Grand Rapids Township were without power Friday afternoon.
Consumers Energy says about 16,000 customers were without power. The issue is with a high-voltage power line that came down in the area of Knapp and Ball Avenue.
