Overnight shooting injures three, leaves windows shot out

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police say a shooting in the 1100 block of Wealthy Street late Friday night left three people injured.

Grand Rapids police said shots were fired just after 11:30p.m. Friday. Shortly after arriving on scene, police say they found a victim at a nearby house who suffered a gunshot to the leg.

Witnesses told police that a fight broke out at a birthday party being held in the area when several shots were heard, according to a press release from the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Two other people shot in the leg showed up to St. Mary’s & Spectrum Blodgett hospitals.

All three are said to have non-life threatening injuries, police said.

There is no suspect in custody.

A building across from the Wealthy Street Theatre had its windows shot out during the altercation, according to police.

    Its seems that people who were imported from Detroit and Chicago brought their lifestyle with them.
    The city is no longer safe. See how well redistribution has worked.
    Soon, GR will share with Detroit as one of the most dangerous cities in the country..
    I chose to spend my money elsewhere years ago after a disturbing night of line dancing at Rosa parks. Haven’t spent a dime there since.
