Overnight shooting injures three, leaves windows shot out

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police say a shooting in the 1100 block of Wealthy Street late Friday night left three people injured.

Grand Rapids police said shots were fired just after 11:30p.m. Friday. Shortly after arriving on scene, police say they found a victim at a nearby house who suffered a gunshot to the leg.

Witnesses told police that a fight broke out at a birthday party being held in the area when several shots were heard, according to a press release from the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Two other people shot in the leg showed up to St. Mary’s & Spectrum Blodgett hospitals.

All three are said to have non-life threatening injuries, police said.

There is no suspect in custody.

A building across from the Wealthy Street Theatre had its windows shot out during the altercation, according to police.
