GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police are warning Grand Rapids residents of an increase in fake cash being passed around the city.

Police say they have had numerous incidents of people passing money that is inscribed with “For Motion Picture Use Only” on it.  The inscription is on both the front and back of the bills.

Most of the bills have been passed at Craig’s List transactions or gas stations and restaurants.

Anyone caught passing a phony bill could be charged with a crime that could end with jail time.
