Driver crashes into Ottawa County gas station twice

GEORGETOWN TWP, Mich. — A Speedway gas station was damaged after a man crashed into it twice Tuesday morning.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Speedway station at 1815 Baldwin Street. David Frisk, 79, pulled into the gas station too fast and collided into the building, according to witnesses. He attempted to back out but shifted his vehicle into drive, hitting the building a second time.

Frisk suffered minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The gas station sustained extensive damage, according to deputies.
