Morley Stanwood Elementary teacher receives $2,000 grant


MORLEY, Mich.– An educator at Morley Stanwood Elementary School has received a large grant from Voya Financial’s 20th Voya Unsung Heroes awards competition.

Betty Tramper was the recipient of this year’s award, which honors K-12 teachers with creative and innovative teaching methods. Tramper received $2,000 to put towards her classroom and continuing teaching methods.

Voya Financial is a provider of retirement plans for educators, and has awarded nearly $5 million in grants since 1996 through Voya Unsung Heroes. More than 2,000 educators across the United States have received the grants, including Tramper.
