GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The driver of an SUV that hit a bicyclist on Fuller Avenue at I-196 Thursday night is being sought. Michigan State Police report the 32-year-old man on the bicycle suffered head and back injuries but they are not life-threatening.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. Thursday, when the SUV turned left into the path of the bicycle. The cylist was thrown to the pavement, and the SUV dragged the bicycle onto the ramp to eastbound I-196.

The vehicle is described as a 2002-2005 maroon Ford Explorer that should have some damage on the front grill and some green paint from the bicycle.
