Deputies say that a Chevrolet Equinox driven by a Belding woman was stopping facing north on Greenville Road, waiting to turn left, and another Equinox driven by a Saranac man was stopped behind her.  Another Belding woman driving a Ford Explorer became distracted, according to deputies and didn’t see the traffic stopped ahead of her.  She apparently swerved off the road, but came back on the road hitting both vehicles.  She then continued into the opposite lane of traffic and was hit by a southbound GMC Sierra driven by an Ionia man.

All the drivers and passengers suffered either non-life threatening injuries or were not injured.  The distracted driver was ticketed for careless driving.
