LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person died in a morning crash at Bailey Drive and Parnell Avenue in Lowell Township Tuesday morning.
Kent County deputies say that Lawrence Haywood, 62, of Ada, was heading north on Parnell Avenue and came to a stop at the intersection. He then continued on into the intersection and was hit broadside by a van heading east on Bailey. The two vehicles were then hit by a third vehicle heading west on Bailey.
Haywood was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger in the van was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
