AmeriGas isn't just a propane company, it's a group that loves to help out in the community no matter where they're based in the United States.

Right here in West Michigan, AmeriGas is holding a sweatshirt drive now until October 31. They're collecting sweatshirts that fit people of all sizes, and at the end of October they'll be donated to Chatholic Charities in Kalamazoo. From there the sweatshirts will be distributed to the Arc and the Caring Network.

If you'd like to donate, you can drop it off at any of their locations.

AmeriGas companies across the countries are also trying to help out their local schools through their School Days Program. AmeriGas will give schools up to $2,000 a year to purchase items for any school-related need with the funds earned from their School Days program. Schools can purchase books, computers, sports equipment, art materials, and more.

Once a school is registered for the program, save the AmeriGas receipts and bring them to school to deposit in the School Days Receipt Box. They'll total the gallons on the receipts and pay your school two cents per gallon.

Contact your local AmeriGas office to learn more or to register your school.
