MUSKEGON, Mich.– Mercy Health in Muskegon held a ground-breaking ceremony for their new medical center on Tuesday.
Beginning this month, the new $271 million, nine-story medical center is set to open in June of 2019 as a 267-bed hospital. It will integrate all hospital services, medical and surgical, into one establishment.
Additionally, the new hospital will have a Universal Care Unit with 74 beds in private rooms for patients that don’t require to be checked into the hospital, but need care for several hours at a time. A new Emergency Department will be added as well.
