KALAMAZOO, Mich.– A teen has been arraigned on Tuesday for his role in a shooting in Kalamazoo.

Police say on September 16, Jerry Jamare Tyson, 19, allegedly fired shots into a vehicle outside N. Rose St. and drove off in a black SUV.  An hour later, Kalamazoo Police received a tip from the victim who was shot and were able to identify Tyson.

Police found Tyson in a home on Lakeway Avenue the next day. Police say they found two loaded handguns, marijuana and shell casings in Tyson’s SUV that matched the shell casings at the scene of the shooting.

Tyson was arrested and arraigned on Tuesday on three counts of felony firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, assault causing great bodily harm, discharging a weapon from a vehicle and felonious assault.
