WYOMING, Mich. — A 3-year-old boy is dead after drowning in a Wyoming pond Friday night.
Officers were called around 8:30 p.m. to the 1800 block of Blandford SW due to a report of a missing toddler. Officers searched the home and the surrounding area, according to a press release from the Wyoming Department pf Public Safety.
Around 9:15 p.m., crews located the boy floating in Battjes Park Pond. He was taken to the hospital, but he did not survive.
The toddler was later identified as Micah Alridge from Wyoming.
The incident remains under investigation.
