Several street sections to close in Battle Creek due to paving

BATTLE CREEK, Mich.– Pavement work is set to begin on several streets in Battle Creek, closing down parts of them to all traffic.

Beginning on Sept. 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., streets will begin to be pulverized and paved.  The full list of streets scheduled for work are:

-Dan Court- entire street
-Elsinore Lane- entire street
-Huntington Boulevard- Gethings Road to Abbington Circle
-North Monroe Street- Van Buren Street to the South

Huntington Boulevard  will be closed to traffic entirely while a new water main is  installed, meaning residents must use the Stone Jug Road Entrance. Parking on these roads during work is not allowed, vehicles will be towed.

All other streets in Battle Creek will be open during the road work, but drivers should prepare for frequent traffic interruptions and delays.  Pulverizing and paving is set to be done by October 24, weather permitting.
