COOPERSVILLE, Mich. – After losing their children to a mental health disorder, two mothers are fighting the stigma with a mental health walk for West Michigan.

The Walk for S.A.M.I is Sunday, October 2nd at Coopersville High School. The event was created in honor of Samantha Hagarty and Ryan Peters. Registration for the race begins at noon and the race goes from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $25 for students and $35 for adults. Money raised will benefit the foundation and its efforts to increase awareness of mental health.
