KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Two people are in custody after a report of someone shooting a gun lead police to search a vacant home.

Officers with Kalamazoo Public Safety were sent out to a house on East Frank Street around 10:00am Saturday after a 911 caller reported hearing gun shots in a vacant home.  When they arrived, they saw a car in the driveway about to pull out. They pulled the car over while other officers searched the home for anyone that may have been injured in the shooting that was called in.   They found no victim or suspects inside.

They found two 22-year-olds in the car when they stopped it.  One of the individuals was taken into police custody on outstanding arrest warrants, while the other was arrested when police say they found crack cocaine, marijuana and over $600 in cash on them.

Officers say no weapons were found in the search of the home or the individual’s vehicle.
